This is the CamCo Standard MK-1 Scout, it is part of my ongoing quest to draw a mech that would be effectivly mass produced but not cannon fodder. The Design is constantly being updated so any suggestion would be apretiated. The thing on the back is a Radar thus it is the Scout edition, This is an earlyer sketch so it's missing the grenades and the sword hip moduels. I promise to finnish this Design.. i have to post it on The MMTF contest anyways..

Hmm... What can I say, I kinda luv it now :), but if u really had to, i´d ditch the knive, instead could be a electric stick(I dont remember the exact word),that police uses. Is the grenade launcher coming to his back?, i really wanna see that :D
Ill get bak to ya when I see the version with gren-launcher
:iconcamco:
not a grenade launcher, thier actualy hand held, and yeah the knife was ditched for a liquid sword... but i really like the electric night stick idea thats great! ... i think thats what there called.. (Horay i have a Fan!... i think..)
:iconsheldian:
:lmao: it´s my pleasure to comment on your mechas, Horay, IM A Fan!
sorry about th G-launcher, I was supposed to talk about back-mounted grenade mortar launcher :D

Though his would be both amzing as a gundam of sorts or an AC I am wondering as to which it is... As im all my AC games I dont reconize the core and head stile ( hunched, most are standing upright ). just wondering and this will sound odd but since I'm such a mech mad lover I now love all your mech work it's amazing

Ditch the knife. The problem with knives and mecha is that, they generally aren't nimble enough to make any kind of knife attack worthwhile. Unlike the Strike from Gundam Seed, this mech has pretty short arms, and not a great enough range of motion in the shoulder. If you need a clos combat weapong, I'd suggest either a stun baton, as recommended by someone earlier, that could short out the enemy's electrical systems, or a sword. A longer blade would solve the problem of the mech's stubby little arms. That, or just throw a wrist-mounted vulcan on it for use in clos range.

Sorry to double post, but I just had another thought. Since this is a scout mech, I'd probably also drop the huge missile pods. Those are more for assault or support mechs, and their weight would only hinder its mobility. Other that that, I love the style. Keep it up.

It's a Mech. As are ACs and Gundams.
:iconcamco:
You right, missile pods like that would be retarded for a scout. This was drawn ages ago tho, i don't know what i was thinking 0_o.

Add Piano-Wire Launchers. The launchers are lightweight, air-powered, and fire a piano wire at high speeds, up to the speed of sound if you want to pierce the armor of a 'Mech. Use those to replace the missile pods.

Also, take off some of the bulk from the body and legs. It will sacrifice some of the armor, but it will make it faster. If necessary, ditch Ferro Fibrous armor entirely for Reflective or Reactive, depending on whether you think it will see more missile and ballistic fire directed at it (Reactive) or laser (Reflective). That will give you better armor for less weight and space.

Ditch the torso-mounted guns for Anti-Personell pods. The biggest problem Scouts face is getting swamped by soldiers in Powered Armor. Personally, I'd go for Swarm SRMs, in pods of 2 or 4 mounted on the torso. Flamers and Machine Guns wouldn't hurt in the fight against Powered Armor troops.

Ditch the knife for a Stun-Baton. Also, give this 'Mech longer, thinner arms. That'll make it nimble enough with them to jam the Baton in an enemies internal mechanics and set it off, crippling the enemy.

Whatever those squarish packets are on the legs, get rid of them. Heat Sinks can be made more compact than that, and Jump Jets are usually on the torso.

The arm with the gun: Get rid of it entirely. Swap it out for a shorter, Argus-style arm with lasers instead of Ballistics.
